Subject: Binational Engagement Opportunity for UC students via Alianza MX

Dear Dr. Rudy M. Ortiz,

I hope this email finds you well—we are pleased to share an exciting opportunity available for UC students.

UC Alianza MX is currently recruiting UC students who may be interested in participating in our Climate Ambassadors initiative.

The Climate Ambassadors initiative<https://alianzamx.universityofcalifornia.edu/strategic-initiatives/climate-ambassadors/> aims to build a binational network of students from the University of California and different Mexican institutions with career pathways in the emerging climate economy and society. UC students participating in the initiative engage and collaborate with students from Mexico, with the goal of fostering cross-border collaboration related to climate change, sustainability, and social justice, while offering professional development opportunities and guidance from experts across academic, government, and the private sector.

Applications will be accepted through October 31, 2025.

We encourage eligible students to apply. Key requirements include:

  * Must be at least 18 years old.
  * Undergraduate student (ideally in junior year or 5th semester).
  * Intermediate level English and Spanish.

If you have any questions or require further information, feel free to contact our team at climateambassadors at ucr.edu<mailto:climateambassadors at ucr.edu>.

Warm regards,
Yazmín Salazar
