I am writing to let you know about a Writer in Residence program that the Library and SSHA are piloting this year, with McClatchy Foundation support.

Our writer to initiate this programming is Mark Arax, who has been a nationally recognized author and investigative journalist re: the Central Valley and sustainability. Mark is developing an archive at the library as part of this project, in addition to offering open workshops (to campus and community) on special topics associated with his upcoming book.
