Designed for Juniors, Seniors, and Recent College Graduates

The Pre-Medical Enrichment Program (PREP)<https://medschool.ucla.edu/education/pre-med-pre-health-opportunities/pre-med-enrichment-program> is a free, six-week intensive summer program for educationally and economically disadvantaged 3rd and 4th year students and recent college graduates that are interested in strengthening their readiness to study medicine. Scholars engage in personal and professional development to enhance their application preparation medical school and develop a community of peers to support them along their journey. Open to third- and fourth-year undergraduates as well as recent college graduates, PREP supports those preparing to apply to medical school by strengthening their academic readiness, professional development, and community support.



Through a rigorous curriculum and immersive programming, PREP equips scholars with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and mentorship needed to pursue medical education and become impactful leaders in healthcare. The program helps scholars clarify their passion for medicine, develop a strategic plan for applying to medical school, and address challenges such as imposter syndrome.



PREP 2026 Program Dates: July 6, 2026 - August 14, 2026

•        Virtual:

o   July 6, 2026 - July 17, 2026

•        In-Person:

o   July 20, 2026 - August 14, 2026



Pre-Med Enrichment Program Cost and Expenses

•        There are no tuition or application fees to participate in PREP. Scholars who successfully complete the program will receive a $1,000 stipend.

•        PREP is a commuter-based program, so participants are expected to reside locally or arrange daily transportation to and from the program site.

•        Please note that housing, transportation, parking, and personal expenses are not covered and remain the responsibility of each scholar.
