The UCSF SoM is excited to announce the 2025-2026 application for the UC Consortium is currently open. The program offers a comprehensive, structured graduate certificate post baccalaureate program designed for individuals from low-income and medically underserved backgrounds who have been unsuccessful in gaining admission to medical school or who have completed the required undergraduate course work but need to improve their academic profiles before initiating the medical school application process.

Application deadlines:
First time applicant deadline is March 10, 2025
Reapplicant deadline is May 5, 2025

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:


  *   Considered low-income or from a medically underserved community*
  *   Must currently be a California resident
  *   Completed an undergraduate degree from an accredited U.S. college or university
  *   Have a minimum overall GPA of 2.94 or higher; minimum 2.8 GPA in the Sciences and Math


Special Events:
In addition, we will be hosting three virtual events that pre-med students might be interested in attending to learn more about UCSF and our special programs.


  *   Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) Virtual Open House: For students interested in obtaining a dual MD/PhD degree; Tuesday, February 4, 2025


  *   Program in Medical Education (PRIME-US/SJV): For students interested in earning an MD degree, with a focus on the urban underserved and San Joaquin communities; Thursday, February 13, 2025


  *   Admissions Workshop: Hear directly from UCSF faculty and students to learn what UCSF looks for in students during admissions; Saturday, March 1, 2025
