Hi Magdalena,

As a gatekeeper design, UCPath does not allow anyone directly put salary expense on WS/LAEP funds, so you cannot SCT transfer earnings to the funds as well. Davis' solution is to journal transfer the expense in Oracle. Yes it's bypassing UCPath but the only easy solution and approved by our campus as exception. That's how we work with JLD salary expense. The other possible way is you set up employee(s) in your student information system and treat them like a student's WS/LAEP award but can be challenging when you don't know how and whose salary expense will be charged in a new year.

Hi Daniel,

I did want to bring up a question at tomorrow's meeting, but e-mail works as well.

With the recent news of LAEP being cut, we are trying to use some of the ACA to pay a full-time staff member but are running into some issues when inputting the 50156 (LAEP fund) fund on UC Path.
We use 50156 on the work-study split table as well, so we are getting the following error:

I am wondering if you all used your ACA portion to pay full time staff and if so, how did you go about paying them on UC Path?
