The University of California Global Health Institute (UCGHI) is seeking applicants from across all 10 UC campuses, UC Hastings and Historically Black College and University (HBCU) Charles R. Drew University for the 2022-2023 Student Ambassador Program<https://ucghi.universityofcalifornia.edu/get-involved/ucghi-student-ambassador-program>. UCGHI is pleased to offer this program for the first time over the course of an academic year, from September 2022 - June 2023. This leadership opportunity is open to all students (i.e., undergraduate, graduate, medical, nursing, law, etc.) who are dedicated to personal and professional growth by serving and representing their respective campus.



UCGHI Student Ambassadors will develop, organize, and promote Women's Health, Gender, and Empowerment (WHGE) or Planetary Health (PH) activities across campuses and mobilize student, faculty and staff involvement. Students will receive a $250 stipend for participating, at the end of the program. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to engage with key faculty, researchers, and leaders in either PH or WHGE while also strengthening professional networks.

This program offers two tracks as part of UCGHI's two Centers of Expertise (COEs):

1) Planetary Health

2) Women's Health, Gender and Empowerment

We will be holding a UCGHI Student Ambassador Program Information Session<http://tiny.ucsf.edu/2223SAPInfoSession> on Thursday, April 21 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm PT via Zoom. During the session we will discuss the program and answer student's questions.
