     The Jepson Herbarium
                         Open position, Museum Scientist
We have an exciting new position in the Jepson Herbarium and are looking
for the right person to fill it (details below)!

If you would like to talk more about the position, please email Staci
Markos (smarkos at berkeley.edu) or find her at the Jepson Herbarium table at
the CNPS conference in San Jose (October 20-22, 2022).

This new position will work 50% time with the Jepson Flora Project and 50%
time with the Jepson Workshop program.

Required qualifications include:

   - Knowledge of botany and floristics.
   - Knowledge of plant systematic principles and procedures, including
   botanical nomenclature.
   - Knowledge of curatorial protocols and techniques, herbarium networks,
   and data management.

Preferred qualifications include:

   - Experience with public outreach including field trips.
   - Experience with event management, including virtual events.

This is a full-time position and will be in-person on the UC Berkeley
campus. It will also include weekends in the field with the workshop
program.
