[QSB-grads] QSB seminars - Fridays 10:30

Hello QSB,

Here is some seminar information and a request!

1) QSB seminars this semester will be at a new time! Fridays 10:30-11:45 in COB 110. The first one is Friday January 24. Rachel Meyer, hosted by Jay Sexton. "The California Environmental DNA (CALeDNA) program: an adventurous experiment by the UC Conservation Genomics Consortium"
The website hasn't been updated yet, but talks will be posted at https://qsb.ucmerced.edu/events/seminar-series

2) This year as part of grad visitation (Feb 21) we plan to highlight QSB graduate student research at UC Merced. Ideally QSB grad candidates will be scheduled to attend the seminar. We will have 4-8 short talks given by senior graduate students. Please nominate grad students by emailing qsb.seminars at gmail.com<mailto:qsb.seminars at gmail.com> by January 31. You may nominate yourself, your student, or someone else! If more students are nominated than there is time for, we will select talks to capture the breadth of research across the QSB research areas.
