Dear QSB/ES graduate students, postdocs, and faculty,

You are invited to a JGI-UCM mini-workshop that will run from noon on Thursday 2/6 to noon on Friday 2/7 at the UC Merced campus!

The workshop is designed to strengthen the ties between the DOE Joint Genome Institute and UCM, provide training for students and encourage collaboration. The agenda is still being firmed up, but briefly, Thursday will begin with lunch (free!) followed by talks by JGI staff, previous UCM JGI summer interns, and UCM faculty, and an interactive Q&A career session with students. On Friday, we’ll continue with talks, and finish with a 2 hour hands-on bioinformatics session taught by JGI faculty.

FACULTY: There will be a dinner Thursday night with JGI faculty. You are encouraged to join - please email me if you’re interested.
