[QSB-grads] Data Science Challenge at LLNL

Hello Graduate Students and Faculty,


I would like to share a wonderful opportunity.


LLNL is planning to do a 2-week Data Science Challenge (which will be part bootcamp and part problem solving) from May 20-31, 2019.


The program is only for UC Merced students and there are 20 positions: 16 undergraduate students (who will be split into 4 teams) and 4 graduate students (each of which will help supervise a team).


During the 2 week period all students (grad/undergraduate) will receive:


- Housing in Livermore for 2 weeks.

- Per diem for food

- Reimbursement for mileage/travel expenses.


More information, including details about the projects, will be shared at an information session next Tuesday, February 19th from Noon - 1:30pm in SAAC (see attached flyer).

Note: The application link seems to indicate only undergraduates, but this is where graduate students should apply as well.
