Greetings from Texas State University,

The American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education, Inc. (AAHHE) in
partnership with Texas State University is pleased to announce the Career
Preparation Institute and the Caminos Thesis Competition in Food and
Agricultural Sciences. The Institute and Competition are made possible
thanks to a grant provided by the United Stated Department of Agriculture
(USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA).

Should you be interested and choose to compete, here is the link
<http://www.appliedarts.txstate.edu/Announcement/Thesis-submission.html> to
the application for the 2019 Caminos Thesis Competition. Caminos Thesis
Competition winners (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place) *will be entitled to a
financial award*.

Also, there is a unique opportunity for nominees to participate in the
sister program the Career Prep Institute. Click here
<http://www.appliedarts.txstate.edu/Announcement/Application-.html> for the
application. Please note that you *are not* required to enter the Caminos
Thesis Competition in order to participate in the Career Prep Institute.

Both events will take place February 27 - March 2, 2019 in Costa Mesa,
California. Please note the application deadline is quickly approaching
(September 30). Begin the application process now for ample time in
preparing documents.

Please let me know should you have questions or concerns.

- Dr. Jaime Chahin
