Hi Miriam,

I think this could be of interest to some faculty and students in QSB.

The Molecular Biophysics and Integrated Bioimaging (MBIB) Division of LBL
is hosting a meeting on September 25th to disseminate information about the
Visiting Faculty Program (VSP) that will support a professor and 1-3
students for 10 weeks during the summer of 2019 to work on a shared
research project with a Berkeley Lab scientist.

MBIB includes Bioscience researchers, in the fields of imaging, protein
crystallography, nuclear medicine, radiotracer biology and analysis.

The MBIB Division has a Diversity and Inclusion Task Force, which
recognizes that many people in underrepresented groups do not know about
the Lab and the multiple research options there, and they are very
interested in having faculty and students from UC Merced participate in
their program.

I am writing to remind you of subject event, and to express our gratitude
for your attendance.
A draft agenda is attached; I hope to have a more final version later
today, which I will re-send.

In the meantime, I would be very grateful if each of you would reply to me
to
confirm you are coming, and advise of any additional people you are
bringing.
I will need their name and email address. All are welcome!

Based on this information, I will create and send visitor passes, reserve
parking, and order food.

I will be out of the office on vacation Sept 13 -19 inclusive; so responses
during that time will be delayed. If you could RSVP before then, that would
be great.
