Dear Colleagues,

This is an amazing student-organised one-day conference, and one of our own graduate students was voted 'Best Talk' at last year's conference. Let's show the rest of California the quality research that we do at UC Merced.

If you have any questions feel free to email the nccbsymposium at gmail.com or even me as well.

All the Best,

Rhondene Wint

Subject: Reminder: Register for 2018 Northern California Computational (NCCB) Symposium

Dear Students and Colleagues,

Registration for the 2018 Northern California Computational Biology (NCCB) Student Symposium has been extended to September 7, 2018. However, please register as soon as possible in order to receive your free NCCB 2018 t-shirt before they run out. We need the participation numbers upfront so we can also appropriately plan for refreshments and food throughout the conference.

The NCCB Symposium is a one-day conference organized by students from UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz, UCSF, UC Davis, UC Merced and Stanford University.

This year the symposium will be held on Saturday, October 6th on the Genentech Hall auditorium at the University of California, San Francisco. The conference highlights current research in Computational Biology by students and post-docs. It will include student talks, a poster session, an industry panel, and unique networking opportunities. Our keynote speaker is Dr. Matthew Spitzer, Assistant Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at UC San Francisco.

We are still accepting abstracts<https://nccb.io/>. Please do not miss this excellent opportunity to present your work and to learn about the research being conducted by your peers in the computational biology community. September 7th is also the deadline for abstract submission and you can submit your abstract when you register.

Best regards,

2018 NCCB Planning Committee
