Next Tuesday come hear Devon Davidian talk about some truly cross-disciplinary research!
Applied electric fields and their effects on stem cell behavior during tissue regeneration and cellular turnover
Devon Davidian (graduate student, Oviedo lab)
Tuesday February 28th at noon in SE1 270K
"I am going to discuss the roles of electric fields in the natural wound healing process and how this electrical phenomena can be utilized as a tool to assist the body in its natural wound healing process. Additionally I am going to discuss how different types of fields (pulsing fields vs non pulsing fields) are generating different effects within the planarian model including dramatic modifications during regeneration and tissue specificity.“
