Dear David, Marjorie

I wanted to make sure the students in QSB were aware of this opportunity.

Marjorie - I didn’t send to all the grad groups since this seems specific to Medical Technology fields, but if there are others you think might be interested please feel free to pass around.

Best,

Dear Colleagues,

We are seeking additional students from your institution for the 2016 Scientist Mentoring & Diversity Program for Medical Technology (SMDP MedTech), see www.smdpmedtech.org<http://www.smdpmedtech.org/>.

This year's program will begin with a 5-day training experience taking place, October 15-19, 2016 in Minneapolis, MS. Applicants must be post-baccalaureates or masters students interested in careers in the medical technology industry. Their ethnicity must be African American, Native American, Hispanic American or Pacific Islander.

As part of the year-long mentoring program, SMDP MedTech Scholars will be paired with industry mentors. During their time in Minneapolis, Scholars will be introduced to their mentors and will participate in a 3-day training session during which they will learn about career opportunities in industry and receive career development coaching. After the training Scholars and Mentors will attend AdvaMed 2016: The MedTech Conference<http://advamed2016.com/>.

If selected to participate in the program, Scholars receive conference registrations, hotel accommodations, meals and up to $350 in travel reimbursements.

Kindly invite qualified candidates to email a resume directly to me at efreeman at icpdprograms.org<mailto:efreeman at icpdprograms.org> and apply directly online at www.smdpmedtech.org<http://www.smdpmedtech.org/>, we will extend the application deadline for selected candidates, however they must complete the online application form.
