About:

California Postbaccalaureate Consortium programs are a partnership of premedical programs at the Schools of Medicine at Charles R. Drew University, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Los Angeles, UC San Francisco, and Tribal Health - Cal Poly Humboldt. The California Postbaccalaureate Consortium programs offer comprehensive academic enhancer pre-medical postbaccalaureate programs designed to assist students in gaining admission to medical school who are committed to practicing in underserved communities of California. Each Program provides:

  *   An intensive Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT)<https://health.ucdavis.edu/postbacc-consortium/mcat-scholarship> preparation and learning skills component.
  *   Enrollment in upper-division science courses during the academic year.
  *   Guidance throughout the medical school application process.

Admission Requirements

  *   Have demonstrated commitment to practice in the underserved communities of California
  *   Have completed an undergraduate degree in an accredited US college or university
  *   Be a resident of California, as defined by the University of California Office of the President<https://www.ucop.edu/residency/residency-requirements.html>
  *   Come from an economically and educationally adverse backgrounds and geographically underserved communities.
     *   The California Postbaccalaureate Consortium programs are committed to serving students from economically and educationally adverse backgrounds and geographically underserved communities.

  *   UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC San Francisco, Charles Drew U., Huwighurruk first-time applicant deadline: March 2, 2026
  *   Re-applicant Deadlines:
     *   Charles Drew University: April 6, 2026 by 11:59 p.m. (PST)
     *   UC Davis and UC San Francisco: May 4, 2026 by 11:59 p.m. (PST)
     *   Huwighurruk: March 2, 2026 by 11:59 p.m. (PST)
     *   UC Irvine: March 2, 2026 by 11:59 p.m. (PST)
     *   UC Los Angeles (RAP):
        *   Early Bird - May 4, 2026 by 11:59 p.m. (PST)
        *   Standard - May 25, 2026 by 11:59 p.m. (PST)

Please note that the PostBacc program at UC Los Angeles is strictly for re-applicants.

*First-time applicants are defined as those who have never applied to medical school but have completed the requirements for entrance into the Postbaccalaureate programs. Re-applicants are those who have applied to a US medical school in the past but were not granted admission.
