The Ohio State's Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP)<https://click.t.osu.edu/?qs=faecfe91a6d2efb36bb8ef95c53b2e6172f5d4e700b64a40503ecb2c46353193a225b1d4f2b53e009a8eba2ea12f7992015982acacfacaa9> helps undergraduates explore the graduate school experience and conduct research with an Ohio State faculty mentor. The Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP) is a gateway to graduate education at Big Ten Academic Alliance<https://btaa.org/resources-for/students/srop/overview> universities. SROP helps prepare undergraduates for graduate study through intensive research experiences with faculty mentors and enrichment activities. SROP seeks to increase the number of students who can pursue graduate education by focusing on increasing program and research access that will prepare future students for successful careers at the graduate level.

Ohio State University’s Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP) is 8-weeks in length starting Tuesday, May 26, 2026–Friday, July 24, 2026.

Please note:  The SROP program is not for students pursuing professional degrees such as law, medical, and MBA degrees.  Students who have completed an undergraduate degree are not eligible.

  *   The 2026 program is scheduled from May 26 to July 24 on Ohio State's Columbus campus
  *   Benefits include a $5,000 stipend, housing and meals
  *   The deadline to apply is February 10
