[UCM LIST: Healthprofadvising-l] Invitation to register for Intro to Medical Learning course, Spring 2026

Dear Pre-Health Students,

The UC Merced Department of Medical Education is inviting Pre-Health students to enroll in the Introduction to Medical Learning seminar course (USTU 90-3), offered Spring 2026, Wednesdays 1:30-2:20PM, Room: GRAN 120.

This 1-unit seminar course is designed to provide students with an introduction to health, how health care is delivered, and basic skills to be successful as a future health professional. In this course, students will learn about what roles health professionals have interacting with patients, who is on the healthcare team and what they do as a team, and identify paths and resources to prepare for a health career. Medicine and health are important career fields, especially in the San Joaquin Valley. Students will be encouraged to learn and practice skills that health professionals use including communication, patient education, and working with others.

This course is currently hidden. To register for the 1-unit USTU 90 Introduction to Medical Learning, please use the CRN 11631. See UCM Registrar instructions on how to enroll for classes<https://registrar.ucmerced.edu/register> using the CRN above.
(Please note: We are reserving enrollment for students who have not enrolled previously. Course content is repeated each semester. Registration will be opened until the course has reached capacity.)
