Blanca, we let off-campus agency be employer so they do everything from hiring to pay and then they invoice us. We switched to this approach more than 10 years ago. After 10+ years, we feel both approaches have their own challenges. Our approach is less administrative burdensome and we don’t have to have robust personnel and payroll staffing. But we did experience dropping in community service earnings, which we have to constantly work with our JLD staff to address.

Subject: [Ucwsfiscal] WSP: off-campus payroll operations
Good afternoon,
We are in the process of possibly re-assessing our off-campus payroll operations. I have a quick question?
For off-campus work-study jobs, do you on-board students to UCPATH and then bill the 0ff-campus employers? If yes,can you provide a brief description on how you handled this? How do you collect/handle the timesheets from the off-campus employers?
Thank you and Best Wishes,
