[UCM LIST: Healthprofadvising-l] 2025 AltaMed Scholars Summer Program - Deadline to apply this Sunday

The AltaMed Scholars Summer Program is a six-week, pre-health/pre-medicine summer program in Los Angeles.
Participants will attend workshops on health equity, gain clinical skills, and engage in research activities that focus
on serving medically underserved communities.

Eligibility:
• Community college student, current undergraduate student, recent college/university graduate, or
postbaccalaureate student pursuing a health career. Those pursuing an LVN, RN, BSN or NP are NOT eligible.
• Come from an economically and/or educationally disadvantaged background.
• Be a U.S. citizen, a legal permanent resident, or DACA recipient (DACA recipients are funded by
AltaMed Health Services).


AltaMed is currently in the application process and wanted to ensure that our students were aware of this exciting opportunity, particularly those who may have a home base or relatives in Southern California. This six-week immersive program offers clinical exposure, health equity education, and academic mentorship. They are committed to our partnership and have reserved spots for interested students.  The application deadline is Sunday, February 23, 2025.
