Hello,



My name is Kristina Cortez and I am a D3 at the UCSF School of Dentistry and Representative for the UCSF Hispanic Student Dental Association (HSDA).



I am contacting you regarding our annual pre-dental conference "Building Bridges". Building Bridges is a collaborative effort between the UCSF School of Dentistry and UOP Arthur A. Dugoni . The event is a one-day virtual outreach event with UCSF's portion running from 8:00-12pm with lunch from 12pm-1pm on April 10th targeted towards pre-dental students who demonstrate potential to serve in areas of high dental need upon completion of dental school. Our goal is to help provide pre-dental students with resources that will help them get accepted into a dental program. The conference includes:  student panels, narratives of specialists and general dentists from underrepresented backgrounds,  simulation lab and anatomy lab exercises, long-term mentorship post-conference to help attendees throughout their dental school cycle, and how to navigate through the DAT, application cycle, interviewing, and life in dental school. Grubhub and prizes will be raffled to attendees.



Additionally, scholarships will be awarded to applicants who apply in the qualtrics link. Deadline to apply to attend Building Bridges and be considered for scholarships is March 29th. Attached you will find the flyer with more details.
