Hello Everyone, please join us This Thursday for this week's Enviro-Lunch: Research Data Management Workshop at 11 am to noon in room SE2-302.



We are pleased to collaborate with folks in our library to host this continued workshop during our Enviro-Lunch seminar, so students and staffs that were unable to join the Wednesday's session can come to this one! No registration this time!

This practical workshop will cover:

--What funders are looking for in a data management plan

--What are the FAIR data principles and how they are being adopted

--How to create a plan

--What institutional resources are available to researchers.

Please bring your questions or draft plan for discussion. And bring a laptop is available.

Instructor: Emily Lin, Head, Digital Curation & Scholarship, UC Merced Library



Digital Curation & Scholarship works with researchers across programs and disciplines to support and assure long-term digital access to the products of research and scholarship. Lin was a participant in the 2009 IMLS Summer Institute for Humanities Data Curation, team lead for UC Merced in the 2012 Association of Research Libraries/Digital Library Federation E-Science Institute, and a 2014 UCLA Senior Fellow. She has contributed to the development of UC digital library infrastructure and is currently PI for a NHPRC-funded project with UC Agriculture & Natural Resources.
