Colleagues,
Happy Fall 2021! We hope your transition to campus has been a smooth one. As we begin the semester, we wanted to share resources you may find helpful as you work with undergraduate students this semester.
This week’s ‘CatChronicle: https://conta.cc/3hcfpvB
New & Updated Resources
* The Success Anywhere Website continues to be updated with information as we transition to Fall 2021 and in-person instruction. Please continue to promote the Success Anywhere website as the one-stop shop for all things student success.
* Campus tutoring centers will open beginning this week. The Success Anywhere Tutoring Page (https://success.ucmerced.edu/tutoring) as the central resource for connections to all campus centers. This page will be updated as additional services come online.
* All undergraduate students have been invited to the “Academic Success Resources” CatCourses site. Launched last Spring, the site is an extension of the Success website, with a focus on ‘just in time’ information to support student academic success. The site will include weekly announcements highlighting campus resources and tips for success and updated content to support success at different points in the semester, including semester start, mid-semester and course registration. This semester, we have added modules focused on Success in the Classroom and Library Resources.
* Note: if you would like to be added to the site as an observer, please contact Miriam Chavez (mchavez63 at ucmerced.edu<mailto:mchavez63 at ucmerced.edu>).
Other Information
* The Technology Resources Program (https://ue.ucmerced.edu/technology-resources has been relaunched as a short-term, emergency use program. The site includes information about other campus resources available to meet student technology needs.
* Faculty and staff are encouraged to review the Student Response Team’s Students of Concern Reporting Process. Submission of a Student of Concern Report (https://srt.ucmerced.edu<https://srt.ucmerced.edu/>), allows for an individual assessment of need and creation of an action plan, with the goal of intervening before the student reaches crisis.
You are receiving this email as you have opted in into the Student Success Listserv<https://studentsuccess.ucmerced.edu/listserv>. Please feel free to forward this to your colleagues who are not and encourage them to join!
Thank you for all you do to support our students' success!
