[UCM-Student-Success] Student Success at UC Merced

Hello all,

The last several weeks have been very busy in the academic advising world as we encountered the typical rush of students for academic advising before spring registration, plus unforeseen technical outages that negatively impacted how we were able to assist students.

The chaos of the last few weeks started me thinking about my work in relation to our campus definition of student success<https://studentsuccess.ucmerced.edu/student-success-definition>.  The definition was intentionally structured broadly so everyone on-campus could see their own work present within the definition.  I feel the statement "providing support, guidance, and resources that equip students to pursue their educational journey creates the foundation for student success" directly aligns with the work we do in academic advising and in pre-health advising.  Sometimes the lines are long and the emails come in faster than we can reply, but at the heart of it all, we are here to support our students on their journeys to success, no matter what that looks like for each student.

How do you all see your work reflected in the Student Success definition?
