Dear sustainability colleagues:

A new Writer in Residence program is being piloted this year by the Library and SSHA, with McClatchy Foundation support.

The inaugural writer to initiate this programming is Mark Arax, who has been a nationally recognized author and investigative journalist re: the Central Valley and sustainability. Mark is developing an archive at the library as part of this project, in addition to offering open workshops (to campus and community) on special topics associated with his upcoming book.

The workshop program ahead can be found <https://libguides.ucmerced.edu/c.php?g=1487430&p=11098904> HERE<https://libguides.ucmerced.edu/c.php?g=1487430&p=11098904>. Also, a Canvas Collaboration site is available for instructors who would like to be added to export instructional resources.

Fall Workshops from Tuesdays 3:30-5:30pm in COB 2-170

Sept 23 Stories about Place

Oct 14 Creative Non-Fiction: How Does It Work?
