Calling all “green” Bobcats! Want $$ to host a sustainability event on campus?
Apply for a FACS Mini-Grant!

The Faculty Advisory Committee on Sustainability (FACS) invites students, staff, and faculty groups to apply for financial support for campus sustainability-related events for Fall Semester.  Limited funds are available, and groups may request up to $200 of support.  Deadline to apply is Monday, October 9.

Applications will be evaluated based on their relevance to sustainability, their potential to reach across the UC Merced community, and their novelty.  We will also aim to support a range of groups and events, especially those organized by undergraduate and graduate students. Award recipients must follow up after the event and provide a photo and brief description of the event’s results that can be used on the Sustainability website.

To apply, please send the following to Professor Bristin Jones (bjones34 at ucmerced.edu<mailto:bjones34 at ucmerced.edu>):

  1.  A brief summary of <250 words about the event


  1.  The expected attendance, including numbers of people and their UC Merced affiliations (e.g., undergraduate or graduate student, faculty, staff, community member)


  1.  The requested amount funding


  1.  A brief budget, including how funds will be spent
