UC Merced invites departments to celebrate National Student Employee Appreciation Week: April 13th - 18th, 2026. 🌟

Designated by the National Student Employment Association, National Student Employment Week is celebrated annually to recognize the invaluable service of student employees.


Key purposes of National Student Employment Week:

To ensure student employees understand their impact and contributions to our campus.

Enhance awareness of student employees and the crucial role they play in higher education.
  *
To thank YOU, the employer, for providing students with invaluable part-time opportunities and career readiness skills.


During National Student Employment Week, departments are encouraged to recognize and celebrate the valuable contributions of their student employees.


Showing appreciation for student employees can be easy, fun, and inexpensive. Small acts of recognition foster a sense of belonging and create an environment where students can thrive.
