Handshake<https://studentjobs.ucmerced.edu/handshake> for on-campus recruitment is now live!

As a reminder; Handshake for on-campus employment is being deployed in two phases.

Phase 1


o   Deployment of the Handshake platform for on-campus job posting.


o   Candidate information will be delivered via email to designated “Applicant Reviewers”. Please DO NOT submit a request for account access as it will not be granted during phase 1.

§  A recording of the Hiring Manager/Supervisor training session from December 9, 2020 can be found here<https://ucmerced.app.box.com/folder/128049960705?s=it7tuuivi2mjou4uupx1rf0i7430ejwd>.  The deck utilized for the presentation has also been provided.


o   The interview and intake process have not changed.  Once a finalist is identified; the Student Intake Request<https://studentjobs.ucmerced.edu/form/student-intake-request> form must be completed to initiate a new hire intake and/or processing into the UCPath system.


Phase 2


  *   In Spring 2021, Student Employment Services will be working with employer representatives to deliver expanded Handshake system functionality to users; including expanded hiring manager/pool reviewer account access.


Additional Reminders:


  *   Hiring Managers/Pool Reviewers will continue to have access to CatPAWS through May 31, 2021 to allow for prior pool review and utilization. On June 1, 2021, the CatPAWS website will be decommissioned.
