[Studentemployment] MINIMUM WAGE INCREASE

[Student Employment]

Colleagues,

Effective January 1, 2020 California’s minimum wage will increase to $13.00 per hour.

Any employee receiving pay of less than $13.00 hourly will automatically be increased to the new minimum wage.  No additional department action is necessary.

If you would like to request an increase for your student workers that already meet the minimum wage, please submit a Personnel Action Form<https://hr.ucmerced.edu/hrpc_forms> to our Payroll office at HRPC at ucmerced.edu<mailto:HRPC at ucmerced.edu>.

Below are the updated ranges for Student Asst 1-4 titles.  Please note that you may not compensate below the minimum or above the maximum of a job code range.
