Dear Colleagues,

Welcome back for the spring semester!

We're excited to announce that our Common Read book will be The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World by Robin Wall Kimmerer; we will distribute 200 copies of the books in the community and host 10 book club discussions in collaboration with the Merced County Library. We hope you will join us.

Please be sure to save the date for the following spring events listed below. We are especially pleased to host 3 UC Press editors who will offer a book publishing workshop alongside 1:1 consultations with faculty on April 22 (more details and events coming soon). Additionally, we will be hosting a graduate student write-in every Wednesday morning from 9:15-12 in COB2-295B.


