The Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in collaboration with the Center for Engaged Teaching and Learning invites you to attend our second annual Equity Advancing Showcase on Education (EASE) on Wednesday May 18th from 10 am - 3 pm. EASE is the culminating event of the "Reflecting on Anti-Racist (ROAR) Pedagogy" year-long multi-disciplinary learning community. Our theme for this year's hybrid showcase is: "The person who does the work does the unlearning." The day will begin with students (both undergraduate and graduate panels) voicing their classroom experiences and learning needs. After a catered lunch, your colleagues (ROAR participants) will share the strategies they developed this year for promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in their classrooms and other learning spaces. They will also describe the successes and challenges that arise during processes of unlearning (for both students and instructors), especially during a pandemic.
