The fellowship is for those who wish to join a team-based, collaborative community that values the different skills, expertise, and perspectives necessary to design, conduct, sustain, and disseminate public impact research.

Anisha Patel, Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Stanford, Ken and Christina Hecht, nutrition policy experts at UC Nutrition Policy Institute, and our collaborators at Dolores Huerta Foundation and Cultiva la Salud, are excited to have a fellow join our community-academic partnership that is working with schools to improve nutrition security for low-income, Latino immigrant families in California’s San Joaquin Valley.

We also working with other teams at University of California, San Francisco, Nutrition Policy Institute, and University of California, Los Angeles on other community-partnered studies<https://researchinchildhealth.org/> to promote healthy beverage intake in schools, childcare centers, and other community settings.

We are looking for applicants who have an interest in community-engaged research, health equity, nutrition, public health, and policy to join our team.
