[Sshagradstudents] IMPORTANT: Fall 2021 LAST DAY TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES - 9/15

Hello All SSHA Graduate Students,

This is a friendly reminder that Wednesday, September 15, 2021 is the last day to register for classes with instructor’s signature for the Fall 2021 semester.

For graduate students holding Fall appointments, please refer to the following requirements per Graduate Division’s Handbook:

Teaching Assistants (TA) / Graduate Student Researchers (GSR):

Fee remissions are a benefit of employment. After an appointment is entered into the UC Path system, fee remissions for an academic appointment (e.g., TA and GSR positions) are applied to the tuition/fee charges. To be eligible for fee remissions:

o    25% FTE GSR (or higher) or a 25% FTE TA (or higher) appointment AND

o    Enrolled in a minimum of 12 units throughout the applicable appointment period in the required 12 units AND

o    GPA of 3.0 or higher

Independent Study Units (CRN Codes) Forms
If you need CRN codes, please go to the Registrar’s website and complete and submit the electronic independent study to be enrolled in research units - http://dbsforms.ucmerced.edu/forms/student-independent-study.

The instructor must approve online before you can be enrolled. Please inform the instructor after you submit the form to anticipate an email from registrar at ucmerced.edu<mailto:registrar at ucmerced.edu> requesting their online approval.
