Greetings all,

On behalf of the Office of the Chancellor, we would like to invite you to a campus talk with noted scholar Dr. Terrell Strayhorn, titled “Radically Moving the Needle: Shaping Equity, Inclusive Excellence and Belonging at UC Merced.” Dr. Strayhorn is Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and Professor of Urban Education in the Evelyn Reid Syphax School of Education at Virginia Union University, where he also serves as Director of the Center for the Study of HBCUs. An internationally-recognized education equity expert on issues of inclusion and belonging in corporate and education industries, Strayhorn’s research focuses on the social psychological determinants of student success for minoritized and other vulnerable populations.

This event will be held on Thursday November 4th at 5 – 6 pm in the Dr. Vikram and Priya Lakireddy Grand Ballroom. This will be an in-person event and seating will be limited to adhere to COVID-19 restrictions. Registration is restricted and will close when at capacity.
