This message has been sent on behalf of Mario Sifuentez, Director of the Center for the Humanities:
Dear Colleagues,
Welcome back for the spring semester. We have an exciting lineup of spring programs and events, which I outline below. Moving forward, we will be sending out one weekly email with reminders of upcoming events and further details (you can find the latest information on our website<http://centerforhumanities.ucmerced.edu/>'s calendar of events as well).
We also encourage you to regularly check UCHRI's funding page<https://uchri.org/grants/> for new grant opportunities. We are part of an MRPI grant with UCHRI (thanks to Dean Jeff Gilger as co-PI) that makes many of these funding opportunities possible. Our new MRPI award was just announced<https://news.ucmerced.edu/news/2021/prestigious-biennial-grant-program-includes-funding-ag-labor-and-wildfire-research> last week.
We're continuing to foster interdisciplinary research conversations through our Medical Humanities Seminar with one speaker monthly, starting with:

We are in the process of also launching a UCTV Humanities Channel this month that will feature the work of our faculty, graduate students, and public programs.
We continue to support activities of both the Luce Foundation grant on community-engaged research, led by Assoc. Dean Anne Zanzucchi and Prof. Robin DeLugan, and of UpstART, led by Prof. David Kaminsky.
