Internships, Fellowships, and Careers Abroad with the U.S. Department of State



The Center for Career & Professional Advancement will be hosting U.S. Department of State for an information session next week, Wednesday, September 9.

Information Session - 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. via Zoom

Are you interested in pursuing a career abroad and in support of U.S. Diplomacy? Attend the U.S. Department of State Virtual Information Session and meet with Micaela Schweitzer-Bluhm, the U.S. Department of State Diplomat in Residence for the Northwest. You will learn about the wide variety of careers with the Department and how you can serve our country by working in any one of more than 270 U.S. embassies, consulates, and missions overseas, or in Washington, D.C. Opportunities include Foreign Service Officers, Foreign Service Specialists, Civil Service professionals, internships and fellowships. Not just for political science, international affairs, or languages majors – we are also actively recruiting from the fields of business and finance, computer science and information technology, human resources, facility engineering, and more -- all majors welcome!
