We are excited to announce that the next Soft Living Active and Adaptive Matter seminar will be next Monday Sep 27th at 9 am (PDT)/12 noon EDT/5 pm Central European Time. This seminar will be given by Dr. Severine Atis (University of Chicago).

Title:   Growing in flows: from evolutionary dynamics to microbial jets


Dr.  Atis is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Chicago working with Prof. William Irvine’s group. Her research focuses on self-organization in out-of-equilibrium systems and active fluids.
