Dear enthusiasts of the SLAAM seminars,
We are excited to announce that the next Soft Living Active and Adaptive Matter seminars will be on Monday Aug 16th at 9 am (PDT)/12 noon EDT/5 pm Central European Time. This seminar will be given by Dr. Mehdi Molaei (University of Chicago).
Title: Flow singularities in soft materials: from thermal motion to active molecular stresses
Dr. Molaei is a postdoctoral fellow at the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago. In his research, he focuses on understanding the physics of soft materials with application in the fields of human health and bio-inspired materials and uses a broad range of experimental techniques including microscopy and particle tracking. The talk abstract and speaker bio can be viewed here<https://physics.ucmerced.edu/sites/physics.ucmerced.edu/files/page/documents/mehdi_molaei_slaam.pdf>.
