Two job announcements for career seasonal (permanent less-than-full-time)
GS-11 Biologist in Yosemite's Branch of Vegetation and Ecological
Restoration will open in USA Jobs on *Monday, April 1. *Jobs will be open
to the first 101 applicants or until 04/08/2024 whichever comes first. Jobs
are open to the public and will be filled using the STEM Direct Hiring
Authority, so the application process is streamlined.
*Supervisory Biologist (Invasive Plant Management):* This position serves
as the program manager for the invasive plant management program. The
incumbent will develop, prioritize, and secure funding for a long-term
program of work assessing invasive plant management and post-fire
restoration needs and implementing projects. Invasive plant management
duties include directing others in application of herbicides and incumbent
is expected to obtain California Qualified Applicator Certification within

for the plant ecology program and is responsible for developing,
implementing, and evaluating a wide variety of vegetation monitoring and

impacts, climate change effects on flora, and other scientific input to
inform management decisions, (2) inventory and monitor vegetation,
including plants of conservation concern and plant communities of interest,
