To: Herbarium <herbarium at csuchico.edu>
Northern California Botanists (NCB) is seeking a student board member to
join our active Board of Directors. The board member would be expected to
attend monthly online board meetings on the third Friday of the month from
9-11 a.m. and be an active contributor to the organization. We are
especially interested in a student that might be interested in managing our
organization's presence on social media, although we welcome students with
enthusiasm for other board activities, such as our scholarship programs,
botany symposium, creating our biannual newsletter, etc.
To be eligible as a student board member, the student must be a dues paying
member of Northern California Botanists (student membership is $15 per
year) and must be actively attending an accredited college or university in
California at the time of appointment as an undergraduate or graduate (MS
or PhD) student.
If you are interested in serving as a board member, please email
ncbotanists at gmail.com the following information by October 1:
-- Your name, college or university affiliation, and the estimated amount
of time you have remaining as a student at that college or university.
-- A brief statement (1 paragraph or less) explaining your interest and
qualifications in serving as a board member for Northern California
Botanists.
We welcome applications and inquiries from all students, and especially
welcome applications from students historically underrepresented in botany.

The Fine Print:
You received this message because you are on an e-mail list maintained by
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA BOTANISTS. This list is much larger than the
membership of NCB and attempts to include everyone who might have an
interest in botanical happenings occurring throughout northern California.
This list is used solely for communication about activities of NCB and
other botanically oriented activities of similar organizations in northern
California that might be of interest to our readers. NCB does not share or
loan this list with anyone else. This is not a discussion group or listserv.
Northern California Botanists (NCB) (www.norcalbotanists.org).
If you would like to be removed from this list, please let us know with a
short reply to this message.
If you were forwarded this message and would like to be added to the list,
please let us know c/o ljaneway at csuchico.edu.
My promise: These emails will never include any attachments, fancy graphics
or page layouts, or long explanations; they will be simply titled so you
can easily delete those that don’t apply to you, and contain minimal
explanatory text by providing web links to where you can find more
information about the single topic presented. --Lawrence Janeway, NCB
board member
