Subject: CV Workshop for Sexton Lab Meeting 7 December
Hi Sexton Lab!

The subject line says it all! I'll be leading a CV workshop during regular
lab time *(2:30-4 pm) next Thursday, Dec 7*.

I'm calling this workshop *"Professional Storytelling: from CV to Career"* and
we'll take an active approach to editing our CVs. I'll give a few minutes
of introductory comments and show an example CV, then we'll have some
focused work time to make updates to our own documents.

*So please bring:*

   - *an editable (Word, Pages, etc.) version of your own CV, and*
   - *a list of things that are not currently on your CV that you think
   should be included*


We'll also take some time to chat through how CVs differ from résumés, how
to tailor your CV to different audiences, and how academia and
non-university jobs treat CVs differently. Come with questions!
