Here were the following norms we discussed together. What does everyone think?

Sexton Lab Community Norms AY 21-22

  1.  Have fun. Start with good news!
  2.  Be supportive.
  3.  Be concise and stay on topic.
  4.  One conversation at a time. No side conversations.
  5.  Make sure everyone has a chance to talk on every topic.
  6.  Show up. Everyone attends virtually or in person.
  7.  Don’t make assumptions, ask questions, and say it now.

Hi all!

On Monday, we will be discussing community norms. Please read this lovely editorial<https://journals.plos.org/ploscompbiol/article?id=10.1371/journal.pcbi.1008953> on productive lab meetings and this website<https://www.meeteor.com/post/meeting-norms> on community norms for healthy meetings. We will discuss ideas from these articles and establish our own norms.

Please come to lab meeting with at least three suggestions for community norms for the discussion. See you next week!
