Dear Colleagues,

Please mark your calendars! Next week we will have a special QSB Colloquium
presented by Dr. Brent Mishler, Director of the University and Jepson
Herbaria and Professor in the Department of Integrative Biology at UC
Berkeley. Dr. Mishler has a new book: "What, if Anything, are Species?" to
be available soon with open access:
https://www.routledge.com/What-if-anything-arespecies/Mishler/p/book/9781498714549.

Should we de-emphasize the traditional focus of the species level of
organization in ecology, evolution, and conservation? How can this work?
Dr. Mishler is building in a lot of discussion time for this very
interesting topic so please bring your questions!

Zoom details will follow. Please mark your calendars and forward the
attached flyer to anyone who may be interested.

Happy weekend,

Jay
