Dear friends,



You’ve heard me mention the UC Merced SCICON Field Station in Tulare
County. It’s rapidly coming to fruition – the field station is under
construction, and the many friends of SCICON are raising funds to sponsor
UC research on the property and construct research facilities.



The local news in Tulare did a delightful story on the field station and
Jim Vidak, the visionary for the project and retiring superintendent of
Tulare County schools, and Dianne Shew, the current director of SCICON:
