hola Dany,

dude your proposal sounds good. I made minimal edits. The firs part to be precise, it was a bit confusing how you introduced the topic. the rest sounds good to me.

an other thing that might have to be more precise, when you talk about the concept, is regarding the island theory. Personally I think the way you are stating the importance of vernal pools is to understand the effect of the environment ... you are talking mostly about environmental gradients and I felt that suddenly you were talking about island theory. For me is like you are trying to contrast environment (soil, deep of the pool, microbes) against biogeographical effects???, in other words, I already know that the environment will have an effect on the plants, it is almost obvious that there is an effect on plant distribution; but I don't know how large are those effects between "pool 1" and "pool 23" ... I don't know if it make sense, we can talk a bit more tomorrow

cheers ese, ;)

Monty

Hi everyone,

I am looking forward to discussing my first ES proposal with you tomorrow afternoon. I will mostly be discussing plant diversity and eDNA in vernal pools and how theory might predict patterns we observe.

I have attached my proposal herein. Feedback encouraged!

See you tomorrow,

Daniel
