    Dear ES & QSB graduate students & postdocs:

    As part of an extended Open Access Week, I will be offering a 4 hr workshop on 14th November, titled "A Guide to Success in Scientific Publishing" (see attached).  The workshop is co-sponsored by the UC Merced library and by Wiley.  The workshop will briefly survey the increasingly complex landscape of scientific publishing options—including the diversity of open access options—before focusing in on their commonalities and a suite of practices that will help you be successful whichever category of publishing venue you target.

    Space is limited, lunch will be provided, and an RSVP is required; more details are available at the URL provided below.
