Dear QSB members,
Our students continuously amaze me. Here are some of the outstanding
things I have been made aware of in the past couple of weeks.

1. Maedeh Bazmi a rotation student who is joining Dr. Escobar's lab, just
published a first-author manuscript before completing her first year of
grad school! Well done!

2. Craig Ennis received an NIH predoctoral fellowship that provides 4 years
of support! Well done!

3. Sammy Villa, Lesly Lopez and Julia Alvarez all received hornorable
mention on their NSF GFRP applications! Way to go!

4. Paul Barghouth and Kristen Valentine both successfully defended their
PhD dissertations and have outstanding opportunities awaiting them.
