Just a reminder Dr. Asmeret Behre is leading this workshop today. We will have food and drinks!


W-STEM is hosting an "Improving Workplace Climate: Responding to Harrassement" Workshop Today February 26, from 3:30-5:00 in SSB 170 led by Dr. Berhe. This workshop is excellent for strategies to recognize and resolve workplace harassment and I highly recommend it to all grads!

Presenter and Facilitator : Prof.  Asmeret Asefaw Berhe, Associate Professor of Soil Biogeochemistry, School of Natural Sciences, UC Merced and Co-PI of the NSF funded ADVANCEGeo Partnership


Description: This interactive session will describe institutional practices and structures that allow for sexual and other types of harassment and hostile behaviors to persist, discuss initiatives to address harassment as research misconduct, provide training in personal intervention strategies to reduce harm, and discuss actions individuals, departments and institutions can take to create more inclusive and safe learning and work environments.
