Subject: Greetings from your new Chair

Hello QSB Grad Students,

My name is Chris Amemiya and I have been appointed Chair of the QSB Grad Program for the next year. I am honored to be able to take over this position from Dr. Miriam Barlow, who has been a strong advocate for all of you and a very effective leader.

I have been a faculty member at UCM for two years. For the previous 16 years I was in a private research institute in Seattle, WA (and adjunct faculty member at the University of Washington where I participated in three graduate programs: Biology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, and Genome Sciences). Prior to that I was on the faculty of Boston University School of Medicine where I was a member of two graduate programs: Biology and Immunology.
