[QSB-grads] QSB fall seminar series schedule

Hi all,

Thanks to all for your suggestions on speakers.  We’ve completed the schedule for the Fall seminar series.  You can find the line-up of speakers on the seminars page (http://qsb.ucmerced.edu/events/seminar-series).  Right now, the spring talks are still listed first.  Once the series ends for this semester, I’ll switch the fall talks to the top of the page.

For those hosting speakers, I’ll be in touch about logistics.  Also, one thing we’re introducing this fall are two rounds of faculty lightning talks.  The idea is that this is a good way to quickly introduce all of the new grad students to the breadth of research, to help facilitate their choice of rotations and/or committee members.  I’ve also found that faculty and current students also enjoy hearing a bit more about my colleagues latest research! So at some point in the summer, I’ll be asking QSB faculty to sign up for one of the dates too!
